Tracey Marx, longtime adjunct faculty member at Marian. will lead a group tour of alumni and students through Athens and the Peloponnese of Greece in September 2016.  The ten-day trip, departing from Chicago, will run from September 8-18, 2016 and will involve an exploration of the archaeological and historical past of Greece.  The tour will visit a variety of locations including Bronze Age Mycenaean palaces, Classical temples, Byzantine cities and monasteries and Venetian fortresses.

In addition to exploring the Greek past, the tour will also take travelers off the tourists’ beaten path to experience incredible natural vistas, sparkling Aegean beaches and charming villages where they will discover the local culture and sample a wide variety of traditional Greek cuisine.  A Classical archaeologist by training, Professor Marx has led previous Marian tours to Greece in 2008 and 2011.  Students have the option of earning Marian credit for the tour.
